Minor flooding is currently occurring at Nitmiluk and Katherine Bridge. While river levels are currently falling, they remain above critical thresholds:
- Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre: Currently at 4.67 meters and falling. It is expected to remain above the minor flood level of 3.00 meters through Friday.
- Katherine River at Katherine Bridge: Currently at 16.29 meters and falling. It is expected to remain above the minor flood level of 16.00 meters through Friday.
- Additional Rainfall: Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment over the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises. A separate Flood Watch is also current for parts of the Top End, including the Katherine River.
