The primary area of concern is Tallangatta Creek at McCallums. The warning also encompasses the broader Mitta Mitta River catchment in Victoria, including monitoring points at Big River (Joker Creek), Hinnomunjie, Gibbo Park, Lake Dartmouth, Colemans, Snowy Creek (Granite Flat), and Tallandoon.

Tallangatta Creek at McCallums briefly peaked above the minor flood level around midnight. As of 2:00 am Monday, the river height at McCallums was recorded at 1.55 meters and falling. However, further showers are forecast for Monday, which may cause additional rises in river and creek levels.
