Nissan is recalling over 318,000 Rogue vehicles due to a defect in the electronic throttle body assembly that can cause a loss of drive power and increase crash risks.

What Happened

Nissan North America, Inc. has issued a recall for certain Rogue vehicles due to a mechanical issue within the fuel injection system. The gears in the electronic throttle body assembly may break, which can lead to a sudden failure of the component.

Which Products Are Affected

This recall affects approximately 318,781 units. The specific vehicles involved are:

  • Make/Model: Nissan Rogue
  • Model Years: 2024-2025
  • Engine Specification: 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines

What You Should Do

Nissan will notify owners by mail starting March 27, 2026. Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software and inspect the electronic throttle body assembly. If the assembly is found to be defective, it will be replaced free of charge.

Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan’s internal identification numbers for this recall are R25E2 and R25E3. Additionally, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for affected vehicles will be searchable on the NHTSA website beginning February 27, 2026.
